There are currently 100 applications for accreditation in the Birkenhead area. Of these, 55 have been accredited.

The introduction of the Managing Agent's Accreditation Scheme in June 2004 has resulted in the accreditation of 22 local Managing Agents who have demonstrated through the accreditation process that they manage their Landlord's properties and tenants to an accredited standard. These Agents have encouraged their Landlords to submit their properties for accreditation. Of the 55 accredited properties in Birkenhead, 38 of these made through Managing Agents.

The Landlord Accreditation Team is currently involved in the Rodney Street Initiative. This involved taking part in a recent Open Day for residents are working closely with accredited Landlords and Agents with property in the street to explore ways of addressing residents issues, including anti-social behaviour. This is being monitored and if successful could be used to address similar issues experienced in Birkenhead.
